Who's Behind This
I've spent twenty-plus years designing networks for Fortune 500 companies and government agencies — the kind where a five-minute outage costs real money and downtime just isn't an option.
I started Peak WiFi ATX because it felt wrong to keep that expertise locked away in enterprise data centers when the people in my own neighborhood — friends, family, folks I've run into at H-E-B — were quietly frustrated with their home WiFi and figured that's just how it is.
It isn't. The reason your WiFi dies in the back bedroom isn't a mystery — it's usually one of a handful of specific things. A router placed wherever the cable jack was, not where the coverage should be. Signal getting absorbed by the wrong wall. A neighbor's network camping on your channel. Central Texas homes are especially rough on WiFi — tile roofs, brick veneer, and heavy foam insulation all eat signal, which is why what worked in your last place often doesn't work here.
After we walk the place, we sit down and I explain what I found. Some folks want the two-sentence version — here's the fix, when can we start.
